I also played sovietishcat. He is a purist and doesn’t like bids or adjustments to standard rules.

Yeah, Sovietishcat requested no bid.  He didn’t have a track record so I didn’t know if he was the next Me1945 grand master walking through the front door or what ready to stomp on us like we were baby sparrows…

I just took him on his terms… but yeah, maybe next time I should recommend a bid…  :-P

Further, just for the record, Sovietishcat played fine.  He just got overwhelmed by the Axis advantage.  It was pretty amazing to play naked G40 2nd and remember how big the Axis advantage really is!  :lol:
