      Guys, I’m thinking about resigning as league moderator and scoreboard operator. I don’t want to leave you in the middle of a year so intend to finish this year out and set up playoffs and everything, but maybe somebody should come alongside me and learn some of the ropes, or maybe you guys have an idea of another direction to take all this.

      Contributing to this decision is that I did have my first manic and depressive episodes this year since 2005 (still pretty depressed - trying to get the right meds) but I wanted to get out anyway, since I haven’t found the time to play any league games myself.

      I intend to help make a smooth transition if someone else is eager to moderate and score games (maybe a team) - I’d been doing everything with no partner for years now (Although having a partner can mean more work if they have differing ideas than you)

      Please think about it - sorry - I guess this day had to come sooner or later. Thanks for understanding

      As for default game, I think it has to be the version that’s available to the world outside this site (out of the box version, basically) - we have very few players who refuse to play “balanced mod”, although of course it does happen, and I think it’s the way it should be… Makes more sense to force someone to play the “public” version than to force someone to play a mod, even if 95% of players only play that mod on this forum. It’s not welcoming to potential newcomers if they have to learn a different version of the game than they’ve been playing.

      It’s not hard in Excel, so I graph the TUV from round to round in my games. Then I look back at who won or lost and the graph shows TUV is HIGHLY indicative of who will win.

      If 2 people look at this, I will be happy.

      Mainah, at first that sounds very exciting and fun, but thinking about it a bit, there’s a big problem with that. If there’s money on games, there’s an incentive for people to try and help a player in the tournament to make better decisions, and also an incentive to try and sabotage a player (maybe by giving suggestions to make poor decisions disguised as clever ones).

      Would mess with the integrity of the games, so as league moderator I’d have to say no.

      @axis-dominion I figured out how to sort the overall standings without screwing up the formulas.
      So you can gaze at the leaderboard and revel.
      Shall I put it in flashing lights? Well, I thought of a way to highlight your feats and achievements.

      One of the most devastating things that can happen in Axis and Allies is really bad dice on a German airstrike of Allied fleets.

      I had it happen to me twice this Spring, and that was Classic where you don’t have as much time invested.

      I feel for you, and I am able to offer to play you again whenever this game is over, because my other games have frozen or gone really slow. Maybe game 2 I will get the terrible luck
