I just logged out and now I’m about to log in and it gives me this error, so I have to uninstall and reinstall. It would be good to make a simple video of these steps for new players, so we’re less annoying.

I don’t recognise that error, but I would uninstall and then reinstall.
If it re-occurs or still doesn’t work then I would ask for help on the TripleA forum (https://forums.triplea-game.org/)

yes, I’m trying to uninstall the game but it doesn’t let me, it keeps giving me the same error.

Maybe try to uninstall it via Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features.
Otherwise you’ll need to ask for help at the TripleA site if your uninstall application is screwed.
You could try abandoning that installation, and doing a fresh install in a different directory.

The problem is that there are no online players in this version. I had version 2.7, which has more new features than this one, but there are no players on the server either.
I don’t know how many players play games in real-time. I believe most players here do either Play by Forum or Play by Email. I don’t think players hang out in a lobby looking for games either. If people want to play in real-time, they would probably arrange a time to meet with another player.
@simon-tressel If you download version 2.5 you will be able to see more than 30 players connected playing different games, but apparently that version gives problems but they don’t stop playing with it, I don’t see them using either 2.6 or the test version 2.7 which is much better and has much more zoon on the map.
@simon-tressel Guys everything seems to indicate that to play on the forum, we must all have the same version of TripleA, you can play directly on the Triple A server if you want but not on the forum, also if I have 2.5, I can’t get into the same servers as the player who has version 2.6 or 2.7 so to play you have to agree on which version to play, 2.6 and 2.7 are better but they are empty, nobody plays on them and 2.5 always has players playing.

There have been a lot of posts here so I might be missing some context. But while there may be some exceptions (and there is some flexibility built in to the league so people can play official league games in different formats), players in the league don’t normally play on the server and don’t play in real time. Instead we play by creating a game thread in the forum and then using the forum option to set up a game and post our turns to that thread. There are compatibility issues across different versions and one of the major issues iwth the older release, if I recall correctly, is that it was no longer able to post to the forum (but there was a work around). As long as folks either stick with the official release or install one of the newer pre-releases (doesn’t ahve to be exactly the same one) they should be able to make it work.
Because this is a thread for posting league game results, I’d also suggest moving this over to the general league discussion thread. And if there is a need to walk through setting up a game, just post a request there and I’m sure one of us can do that too.

Yes, of course that would be correct, but then the official version you mention must be 2.5. It would be good to know what that way of playing is here in the forum and put it in the general discussion thread of the league. Thanks.

Some do but more on weekends, as you might expect. Most online players like revised for some reason.

That version doesn’t have the annoying changes to the battle calculator that can swap the attacker when you try to add attacking units. Might use that one.
