Maybe there should be a one day gaming event, followed by a social event? I am sure the social event could be in a venue that would cost you nothing (Restaurant / Pub etc). Maybe even at the same venue / Hotel to save you even more money on booking expenses.

Just stay at the Palace. It’s got the most class for a Hotel. Rooms are small because it was built in the 1800’s
Oh this is a great idea!!! Like variable said, it would be nice to see something like this on the west coast. I’ll be there for sure. Great idea Dave. Hope we can get as many folks as possible.
I’m almost positive Karl7 would attend too. He lives in the city and is a very dedicated player, as we all are. We’ve been trying to get together for a game for a while now. Can’t think of a better way to do it then this.

I’d love to come. But a number of factors will need to align for me to be able to attend. Keep us updated. I hope it’s a great success!
I won’t have time to put this together for January 2015 so it will be in the fall. When the weather starts to get bad in the rest of North America, it gets amazing in SF.
It will also likely not be in the City of SF. I think the USS Hornet would be really awesome …
