Now when I load the game, I get the above error. It might be something wrong with the server because I can’t even load the Japanese turn anymore. It throws the same error, even though it did work a few hours ago.
@Panther or @gamerman01 Any suggestions?

@surfer I cannot reproduce the issue, as the savegame loads totally fine here.
As you did not indicate anything else for example the TripleA version you and your opponent use, I can only guess that you are using outdated and/or different versions of TripleA - that at any time of the game might have created an error. Also Edit Mode sometimes is not 100% error free.
It would be helpful if you created and posted a screenshot of the error message - or copy-pasted the entire error message. Also usually there is a dialogue asking you to “Report to TripleA”. Have you done that - and what did the software return?
Maybe both of you try and use https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases/tag/2.7.15256 - that is not the latest pre-release, but the one I have successfully opened the file with right now.
And a friendly request for the future : Please use the TripleA-support category https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/category/28/triplea-support in the future, as we don’t want to have TripleA-issues discussed widely spread all over the game threads.
Often the topics repeat themselves, so we have one place to collect them and maybe refer to them. Thank you.

Wait for @Panther response.
But if you are eager, here is what I personally would do in your situation-
I would check whether the site was down (wait several hours, like have elapsed by now) and try again.

Close and restart Triple A and try again (no doubt you’ve done this)

Ask @ArtofWar1947 if he upgraded versions before doing that Japan turn. Possibly upgrade to a newer version of TripleA.

Check that everything looks normal in your opening TripleA screen.

Try to load Japan in local.

If nothing’s working, go back to the last load that works (Russia?) and re-enact the Japan turn, save and/or post, and try to load that up.

@Panther and @gamerman01 Thank you for your help. I don’t know what caused the problem, but it resolved by the next day. I was able to use Chinese move (most recent move, and one of the files that failed to start) and continued game.
I will post the details of the event on the forum site triplea-support just to capture the details and maybe someone else can move through. But this event has self-resolved.
