    The American pacific fleet should have been patient, instead of throwing the advance guard against the Japanese fleet.  If those five ships had waited just one turn for the cv’s and bb’s to join them in Australia, it would have been a much more potent force than it is now without them. The fleet they attacked won’t be able to reach the Phil this coming turn to join up with the other half of the main fleet.
