@simon-tressel I will fill in Witt and Dawg emails when I take F/S turn. Dawg did agree to receive the Marti emails. If you use PBEM and save from there, it will automatically fill in the same emails for the next player to use.

RE: 1914 Game 17: Simon as Germany, PP as Austria and nasty Witt as Turkey.
@simon-tressel Nice to have a new player with new strategy or perspective. You attacked just the F fleet in Pacific, which guaranteed a strong surviving fleet. We always spread the attack against both F & UK, which in my case as G, I would often lose one of the two battles.
Usually, G sinks both Canadian fleets, but it was due for G to finally lose one of those battles. -
RE: 1914 Game 17: Simon as Germany, PP as Austria and nasty Witt as Turkey.
@simon-tressel I used your edited version. No problem with editing forgotten combat since it was unopposed. If you forget to do a combat move resulting in a battle where there are defenders, you need to announce it and do forum dice, preferably before finishing combat turn and before purchasing, but at least before completing your turn.
You didn’t use pbem. We always want that.
Since no one else has volunteered to receive Marti dice emails besides Witt, I will add my email address when I take France/Serb turn. -
RE: NML 1914 team game 16
@Elrood That’s somewhat true, but G is mostly a one-trick pony, take Paris. While the Centrals have won many, but not most of our games without G taking Paris, as the other players and their strategies and abilities took center stage.

RE: NML 1914 team game 16
@Elrood UK is just as complex, critical and global as Germany. UK is critical to saving Paris and the primary power against Turks taking Cairo and containing Turks in Mideast and G taking central Africa. More than any other power, UK must make decisions on allocating builds and existing forces on a widely scattered global stage. USA gets to leisurely help out, while UK’s decisions are critical from the start.

RE: Units, Mechanics, etc.
Yeah, the tactical bomber-tank combo disproportionately benefits Germany.
I agree that it’s near-impossible for Germany to fight a war on 2 fronts once the US really gets into the war. In my view in your game you may have invaded the USSR too late (not sure whether that was your fault though, I didn’t look at the strength of the opposing sides, but from my experience Germany should be able to enter Soviet territory earlier than that). In Global at least most players plan for a Moscow capture of G7 or G8 I believe. Not sure whether that’s completely applicable to Europe, but that could be an explanation. I hope smarter players will respond to this question (I’m still looking for a more solid answer myself).
@AndrewAAGamer I know Europe 1940’s not your wheelhouse, but what advice do you have for Germany to capture Moscow by G7 or G8? Thank you!

RE: Units, Mechanics, etc.
About the game attached:
I think you did a really great opener and your moves into the Soviet Union were probably what I would’ve done as well. Breaking out from Eastern Poland is what Cow’s G1 opener implies.
Anyhow, the AI basically handed you the game when they attacked the strict neutral.

@simon-tressel Do you playtesting in local mode but always use Play by Mail for your actual game turn and save it in PBEM so that the email addresses for Marti dice are already filled in.
