@Amon-Sul Maybe by giving it “for free” say every 5 turns or so we can emulate the real war in a way since tech was advanced. It also circumvents the problem with having to spend previous IPC on something that compared to units is usually much worse. I totally agree there should be some generic techs and Nation specific ones that makes sense.

@Amon-Sul me and @trulpen play tested a lot of different home made variants. We came a long way but it was OOB at my house (mostly). Trulpen do you think it would be worth the effort bringing it here? One major obstacle is of course that it would need to be programmed in AAA

I think the easy part is to figure out fun techs, the hard part (from experience) is incorporating it in the game. The current system with paying for dice that randomly gives you research is not good enough. Some kind of point system as mentioned by trulpen is preferred, with or without research facilities.

I assumed you were about to go for Greece. I don’t think you are very bad, I think the game is interesting. How do we roll dice we battle calculator? I have only used it for calculating odds.Btw, was meant to tell you, you can take territories during combat move with only transports and the non-combat move the rest of your fleet to avoid kamikaze when applicable. Works with territories without scramble or enemy fleet, e.g. Iwo Jima this turn
