I live in England, but wa born in Florence, Italy. I started playing A&A as an 18 year old at university. I only got to play once a week (4 hours) as part of the Boardgames Club and sometimes had to watch, if too many players wanted in. I was so obsessed that I would look forward to that one evening to the detriment of everything else. I would plan how Germany could win amd what I would buy. Russia was my nemesis amd my one goal was its conquest.

I did buy Classic in my Second Year, I think. Did not play much (except by myself, plannning!).
I got back into A&A when I heard Europe was coming out . Guess what? Yep, I got to invade Russia all over again.
Anniversary was a wedding gift and I have bought every game since then.
I don’t get any face to face games any more, as I have children and no time at the weekends (because of work).

Bear in mind, if the enemy has Subs, he could submerge his, if you have no Destroyer present either.

My wife and I always gift ourselves a game or two for Christmas, so there is always something to play. She plays me at A&A once a year now (December , as a birthday consolation ).

Has always been the 109E for me, probably slightly disappointing my loving RAF grandad!

I started aged nearly 19 , back in 87.

I have been so busy , as we are nearing the end of the restaurant sale . The solicitors have dragged it out , which has been very stressful.
Is hard , after 18.5 years , to say goodbye to so many loyal customers . Of course , some have known over 30 years , as they also used to go to my dad’s restaurant in the 90s.

I will play another , once you do stop playing, but bear in mind I might need to drop out , if I have my scheduled eye surgery . Still don’t have a date .
