    I am surprised by your strange remarks, as they are very shortsighted.

    He should of course do whatever he wants, but he is still tier 1 for now, since adjustments have not been made. I don’t even care about my 1 extra point, so that is not the deal. I don’t know why you even mention such a trivial point as I have nothing to gain/lose by him doing it.

    I don’t think you understand how much impact it would have for Infrastructure and others should he choose to not do it though.

    If he chooses to not claim some of those wins this season, he’ll be adjusted to tier 2, which will cause a whole range of players (18 games in total which would have 1 point less) to fall in value - this could cause his year end position to fall even further, since some of his opponents might be adjusted down as well if they’re right around the tipping point.

    Just 1 example of this is his friend Stalingradski - he would lose 3 points and fall under 3,5 and would also be relegated to tier 2 - that means that all players who played Stalingradski will lose also 1 point per game there also - which is 19 games total.

    This comes right back at Infra, causing him to lose 3 more points against Stalingradski and he will fall even further.

    Almost everybody in the league would feel the fall in rankings, which will have an effect in a chain reaction.

    Do you really think that is the smartest thing to do? I don’t care - But 2013 would’t look as pretty for a whole bunch of players.


  • OK, I have now received PM’s from both Arathorn and Infrastructure and have reached a binding decision that I believe is a fair and reasonable compromise.

    This game will continue with the following set of facts/rules:

    We will assume that 3 72 hour bumps have been properly claimed against Infrastructure.  This means that Arathorn can not call the game using league rule 5 unless and until there is 1 more 72 hour period of no game decisions (moves) made by Infrastructure.

    Infrastructure has 72 hours from October 21 at 8:00 PM Central to post at least the Russian move or be declared a forfeit.
    This time is chosen because this is approximately when Infrastructure came on to protest Arathorn claiming the win.

    So Infrastructure has until 8:00 PM Central time October 24 to post the Russian move.  After that, you are operating with 3 properly executed bumps, so you have 72 hours after each Arathorn move to make your next move.
    Under the circumstances, I ask that you post each move in a timely manner.  It is unsportsmanlike to deliberately delay moves, especially if the opponent is waiting only for a casualty choice or scramble decision.

    To clarify you say it is unsportsmanlike, but not against the rules for someone to wait close to the 3 days every single time a response is needed, correct?  Because this game has not been sportsmanlike since g2 and very much about the rules.

    But you forgot to point out that I have a LL reroll option, since the TUV swing was more than 30 from average. My Battle Calc of 2000 simulations with one surviving land unit says that average TUV swing should be -18.59, - 18.30 and 19.27. The TUV swing was +12 for you. The total swing away from average is therefore 30.59, 30.30 and 31.59.

    I will reroll the battle.
    That activates the reroll at the loss of 10 in income next round.

    At this point - I will not roll any further until I’ve heard from you.

    If you choose a point of retreat after any of the previous rounds, then you can simply retreat back and change your non-combat move.

    If you choose to let the last round stand, you have to choose between 1 tank and 1 tact in casualty, leaving you 1 unit against my 1 art.

    If you choose the tact and press the battle, we’ll roll your 3 against my 2. If I hit, regardless of your hit or not, I keep Berlin.
