Re: Making my own WW1 game…
Hey, y’all. I was wondering how y’all made games, like this one. Please reply if you have an answer!
Historical Board Gaming - New Roundels
-
I got those, Im talking about specific units that fought on all sides. Perhaps it could be like:
6th Army (Paulus)
3rd Army ( Patton)and those new cards could apply or effect just the armies listed on the card or commanders
-
3. European Minors (Denmark, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Sweden, etc)
Great, I’m looking forward to those. One of the “etc.” places for which you might want to include one or two roundels on the sheet is Slovakia, which on the map co-occupies the same territory as Hungary but which I would have preferred to see treated as a separate country. (Ditto for “Holland / Belgium”, so I’m glad to see some Belgian roundels heading our way too.) The Slovak Republic of 1939-1945 was a minor Axis nation, and in fact was the only Axis country besides Germany to take part in the invasion of Poland.

Definitely want to see these!
-
maybe something that can represent fortresses ?
-
I kinda like the fortress idea. Make it generic enough to cover multiple time periods.
-
i just think it would be easier to use than a plastic piece. because unlike a plastic piece, your other pieces can be placed on top of it, saving room for your army in a territory
-
good idea. Fortress for sure
-
Definitely would like to see bunker-like token. Maybe that’s just because I would rather buy a finished product versus make my own from PhotoShop, doublestick tape and old control markers  Been having a heck of a time finding these on the cheap!
-
also the rest of the naturals would be nice like Yugoslavia, Greece and the middle eastern countries
-
My support behind the neutrals idea.
Could you make a card with 1 each of the remaining neutrals represented on the Global 1939 map?
-
S. America or European minors! :-D

I will, released before Christmas!
you mean this will be released before xmas?
-
I would like to see Tech Tokens…
However, I would also like to see roundels for Japanese puppet states.
-
A fortifications piece would be great. As it is, I make my own but something from HBG would be welcome.
-
What about the Red star for Russia. St.Georges cross for England or stars and stripes for USA. Is there any interest in these. I know we really don’t need them but some may see it as a upgrade.

Siam, Burma, and Manchukuo?

Yes, and maybe just the hell of it, the “Reorganized National Government of China” which was led by Wang Jingwei. There were other puppet states, in Indochina, but map wise and game play, I think they would be unfeasible.

The American and Soviet flag roundels are already available at HBG under HBG Custom Battle Tokens. The Union Jack (UK flag) roundels are also available but not St. George’s Cross (English flag).
