I am not that experienced with the Pacific end of things, but I wanted the option to hit a Yunnan stack or a Russian stack. I figured I would lose alot of planes in Yunnan but still win if you stacked, but you would lose everything and not have a followup. That was my thinking.

@jim010 true, but the amount of planes you would lose (around 10-11 according to Batlecalculator), would be pretty crippling for Japan - US are still very much present in the east and UK Pacific are kind of rich, compared to what they’re used to. They can buy 10 inf next turn. Of course China would be emptied out, but they are always able to put in 5 inf somewhere :p

Perhaps. But China and india emptied takes alot of options off the table for you. I would have done it, even with your Japan first tactic.

@jim010 it’s all ifs now ;) Anyway, India wouldn’t have been emptied. As I said I could have put in 10 Infantry, giving me enough to build a meaningful defense, so Japan would have had to spend at least 3-4-5 rounds getting ready for the India battle. I could send new planes from the middle east. England are the second most annoying nation after CHina haha :D

My biggest complaint of playing online is that I always miss something because I’m only ever looking at a small section at a time. And panning out doesn’t help.

@jim010 just edit it. that’s basically houserules on this webpage :) For me the limit is that you edit forgotten things either right before you post or as fast as possible after. This is 2 mins, so just edit it :) Might had been different if I had been 15-20 minutes into my turn :p

That’s ok. Thanks for the offer. Its just a friendly game. You missed Yunnan, I missed Karelia. All good. Makes a difference in my advance, but whatever. Until I improve my Pacific play, not sure I’ll make it.

I was tempted to try my luck and hit those transports. Hit it with Italy, and then try with the German bomber. I really wanted to! That cruiser would have certainly put a stop to that.

@jim010 haha - I know that all too well! Their colours are just too similar. You can always check if the territory/seazone turns kind of red when you move units into it. If it does, at least some of the units in there are hostile :)
