XDAP-2: Onward! Defrosted Tuna Team vs Death by Dice
-
Guys I have bad news: as my research went to a good spot, they asked me to stay here more time and gather more materials. I’m very sorry but I have to leave the game to ghr2 untill I’ll be back.
Apparently the Emishi Isawa by the lead of chieftan Aterui was able to resist Yamato (Japanese) attacks for 38 years. They even won the first battles, something like 500 Emishi vs 3000 Yamato.
-
The focus of my research is more anthropological tho, but the history parts of it are very interesting.
The castle that was built by the Japanese Yamato at the Emishi frontier was located very close to where Fukushima is now, and 1200 years ago (during the struggles between Yamato and Emishi) they had a very strong earthquake followed by a tsunami that basically destroyed their castlefort! If you think about what happened to Fukushima recently… -
I thought you were in italy?

This was the assumption we were under previously. But ghr2 has as of yet not posted anything.
Can we get this game rolling again now?
-
@JWW:
I thought you were in italy?
Yes I am, but I’m over 1000 miles from my hometown…
-
Honestly ghr2, its been almost a week now.
Shall we just call this one?
-
So we now have 11 days to finish this game and we have burned 6 now waiting for ghr2 to make a move without any reason as to the delay.
I think the Allies saw the writing on the wall with Japan bearing down on India and decided to stall and hope for a draw…
-
I honestly think that this next ally round is difficult one, I would like noll to do it since this is his game, and I only wanted to do russia (anzac a couple times was fine). The writing is not on the wall quite yet, since it would be ages before japan would be able to get hawaii or anzac.

Most Holy will do the allies this round then.

All of the rounds have been difficult for everyone. If you don’t post something we are just going to end in a draw.
This is dumb. Noll asked you to do the turns twice. What’s the big deal? Get him to tell you what to do. I don’t care. Just somebody post a goddamn move. We don’t even know when Noll will be back.
This shouldn’t be such a big deal man.

I’m collecting bibliography in one of the biggest oriental university of europe so yeah, Italy. Even if I were in Japan, the Emishi are not there anymore. The closest thing to them are the Ainu.

Cool. Can you please BEG ghr2 to make a move because asking him nicely clearly didn’t work. We have been waiting a week and only have one more week left until the round ends.
-
Tomorrow I will go to an internet point and install there triplea.

is this for college courses you are taking, or for publication, corporate/government work?
-
Publications. I will be in Japan after I’m done with the paper research in april. By your avatar I get that you like Japan

very cool, I’d be interested in reading it if you don’t mind. Send me a link or something.
Avatar - you would think that at first glance but it is actually a group called “the brights” that I belong to. Perhaps, they did a bit of copy infringement on the JPN sun burst! :-D
Sorry to hijack this thread with this info on your research. I was a history major, I find all this stuff very cool.
Back to the game……I hope.
