you only kill 4 wimpy ships.  assuming japan blocks, his carriers and support ships may be safe for a J2 follow on and stack up, but you cant land supporting fighters on hawaii or build much more than the tts needed.

usa is imm brought into war, and gets $$ but even better, gets 10 facs.  So he may not be able to push you off right away but hes building in parity with you and thats his clear and onky early game goal.  if japan leaves, hawaii is recaptured.  And all of this to get $6 when there is $35 or so money down south that has to be denied to the small allies.  Like irl, PH awakens a sleeping giant and emboldens his little buddies.  japan can sprinkle planes everywhere but it cant defeat/cover every front at once

Buy mech/armor at a 1-1 ratio, simple as that from g2 onward. You pretty much should get russia G5 6 or 7

I never buy tech in Global, i have better uses for the money.

(also, in Anniversary i ALWAYS got to get radar as USA, pissed me off so badly!)

To put it another way, once the battle is over, you no longer have the option of retreating.

Despite having ‘guards’ units from missouri or nebraska the united states was probably more united in 1940 than the united kingdom.

Knowing where we are now politically makes that :lol: obvious. India does not have much to say in british elections where soith carolina has yet to declare independence again.

Yeah, not enough subs for Germany….same thing with carriers for the UK.

I have raided all my old sets to bring extra pieces in. All my factories and AA guns as well. 2 factories for a major, 1 for a minor.

I hate those cardboard pieces.

Most of the NOs in Anniversary were simply dependent on a territory (or territories) being held by one side, so UK often gets a NO for the US controlling the Carolines in the Pacific, or the US getting a NO for the UK controlling France, or Russia getting a NO for the UK controlling Norway, Finland, and Poland.  It’s basically the same thing; ANZAC was closely connected to the UK still, having been colonies/territories in the British Commonwealth/Empire up until just before WW2, so a good deal of British economics was affected by the status of Australia and New Zealand, just as it was with Canada (which is recognized in the game as an independent nation with their own roundel, but controlled overall by the UK player).

You don’t have to have the same person control ANZAC and UK for the NO to make sense, just like you don’t have to have the same player control the US and UK in Anniversary.
