Yeah, I mentioned a couple of rounds ago, that I would need Marti, when I planned this. However, given JWW is winning this game, having a superior force with options to win here means hope…
If dice are on average, I should easily take the Capital, and I should hit 4 more pieces than the defenders in Victoria in round 1, regardless of using 4 or 5 fighters vs Queensland. But it is true that Marti variance is big, so still anything can happen.

very disappointing…I had that battle at 71% for you, still very bad odds for me…your first roll just killed it, no hope after that. I knew 4-5 turns ago that the pacific was in trouble. I didn’t think I could stop you, perhaps I should have been more aggressive with the usa vs. jpn in the middle rounds? I think I should have picked a fight against your navy much, much earlier?

This is the second time I thought I had an allied win vs a their one opponent but alas…I couldn’t pull it out.
I think you had it on your hand, just 1 infantry built in San Francisco or 1 retreated from Pearl a round ago and this move was not possible.
I don´t think that you should have attacked Japan earlier, you were simply winning with your strategy that was better than mine, but you made that little mistake, and Pacific was too tight.
Perhaps some less strenght vs Germany in Europe when Germany launched troops to Asia, as Germany was too far from 8 VCs, would also have avoided the 6 VCs, always difficult to say, this game is well designed and is tight.
