I think we could do better, yes. Appreciate the thoughts, as always. Japan being able to build massive numbers of infantry and <gasp>tanks (which are as effective as Germany or USA or Russia tanks) has always bugged me with A&A.

You say boost Axis, but what do you think about my idea to neuter allies, specifically Australia and to a lesser extent India? What offensive did India ever go on, in WWII? Or Australia? But they’re major players in this game…
Oh well, we have to go with this game because it’s what everybody has. There is peril to going off on house rules - as soon as you want to play other people… and you get used to a different game so you are disadvantaged when you switch back, etc etc -

Also, friendly reminder that fighters in 110 cannot hit subsMay you lose in 106 and may your tac get shot down over Paris!

hmm, I wouldn’t mind dumbing down Anzac’s Nos. �I don’t know. �I think larry did a good job “balancing the game” – its pretty close with the current set up, maybe an Axis edge. �But who cares about balance. �I’ll play chess if I want balance. �A&A should be the Axis are militarily strong but economically weak with the allies the opposite, such that time is the enemy of the Axis. �In this game the Axis can expand, sit on its butt and actually achieve economic parity with the allies… blah!

While we’re waiting, I’d like to tell you I was mystified and not happy when he nerfed heavy bombers with AA50 in midstream. Best of 2 dice just sucks. It’s almost as bad as advanced artillery or mech infantry now.
But thank goodness he finally saw the light and made long range aircraft +1! I used to house rule it to that in AA50. Unfortunately it’s still a ridiculous +2 in AA50, but I don’t usually play tech anymore anyway in AA50. Sigh

You should have rolled the battleship separately.
But I guess both cruisers hit so you can take off your subs, so the dice were merciful to you that way.

Classic heavy bombers were a blast. I had one game where we both got them, and we both had one of the other’s capitals and the game went on for a long time. We blasted things off the board as fast as we could buy them - it was a wasteland.
Keep the French fighter and the damaged battleship for round 2.
