Believe it or not but I wasn’t even looking at VC’? How many do the axis need to win? And why before J7? wouldn’t it be at the end of entire turn i.e……with the french?

It’s 8 on Europe board or 6 on Pacific board. The requirement is to hold >8(6) for one complete round. I.e. from the power that captured back to the start of same powers next turn.

I assumed it was some total number. I did realize that you recently got two from japan but I figured you lost one with the UK. I thought it was a pretty high total number. I really should read the rules.
If what you say is correct there is NO way that I could retake haw or aus since there aren’t any allied trn’s in the pacific!

I was winning a game against Karl and I decided to DOW on the mongols, cause I had nothing better to do with the japs at the time and suddenly I was fighting every country! Disaster 3 turns later. Crazy…

I believe you need to place units where-ever there are existing units of that nationality. +12

4c - Bid Placements - Bids can be placed all in one territory, spread out over multiple territories, or taken in IPCs to one country or split between multiple countries.
Land bids must be placed in a territory which you own at the beginning of the game but are restricted to units of that countries nationality.
Examples for clarification -
A - UK can bid units to Egy. Russia/US cannot.
B - UK can bid units to Bor/Sum. Russia/US cannot.
C - US/UK/Rus cannot bid units to any Chinese territory. Only Chinese units can be placed there.
Naval Bids must be placed in a seazone which already contains at least one unit and are restricted to that countries nationality. -
I only ask because some people like to play 1 unit per territory. I don’t mind either way, just affects the bid price. I’m probably going to regret this, but you can have 12.
