    I was lucky not to lose anything off Japan, but got no hits from 9 rolls in Kazak on R1. Then one hit on R2 and R3. Interesting!

    If you had failed to sink me: wS a chance, I think you could not come back. Surviving with 5/10 was a good result for you. I can’t ever challenge for Europe again.

    Yes - did the odds beforehand and were better than 75% so gave it a go. The trick was putting the Med fleet in the right previous go.

    But then you got 52 with US vs J in sz62. Did you calc the odds on that one?

    I don’t know how go do the odds and am not sure I trisr the figure anyway. (Must be an italian conspiracy theory thing.)
    I suppose I forgot the Carriers only have one hit (two in 1940)'and miscalculated. I don’t often do that. Have gifted you a big opportunity now. Incan’t hope to get the 6 IPCS again for France and UK can’t do much on 18 a turn.
    Is over, I am sure. Needed that Russian Attack in Kazak to work, but lost 9 units to kill 2, was it?  Can’t see map, as have returned from work (for bed).

    Use AACalc on the forum to work out the odds on critical plays. Just did it for yoursz62 attack and you had a 90% probability - should have worked that out before wasting all those ipcs trying to rebuild the J navy.

    You’re funny. You see ambushes behind ever bend.
    I just don’t like giving up. I realise that fleet loss was a gift. Bit annoyed at myself. Thought it was more 50/50, but understand you had to make it even at worse odds. Needed another Carrier. Would have done better to have backed off  and come back when the impetus from the West (Pacific) built up.
