You have done nothing wrong. They are (historically) crippled, unlike the preposterous 1940 beginning and set up.
I like this game, because it does start so advantageously for the Allies. I think a better victory condition for the Axis would be turn related. The Axis can win I believe, but it is not easy.
Japan is too strong and the Germans just a little weak. Italy is probably too strong!(too many planes). -
