Scramble 2 Ita ftrs in sz97 against Brit 2 ftrs, TB, CV, CR, DD?
I decided to gamble by spreading myself thin. Lately spreading thin in opening battles has turned out bad for me. Hope the dice are with me this time. Attacking Ger BB with just planes, so 2 subs can’t take hits for it.

I didn’t post U.S. turn. Tthought it would show up with China or Brit but didn’t. Jpn move to Caroline threw me for a loop. Never see a big move like that. Had to analysis where to put U.S. ships and what to build so wouldn’t get sunk or lose Hawaii and could counterattack. Also puts Aust at risk. So had to plan defensive moves and builds instead of my usual ANZ moves. Also had to adjust Brit because of BM. Italy gets the bid instead of Brit, which makes my usual Tobruk attack questionable. Been playing G40 because D.A. & S.A. want to. Otherwise, I want to play BM3 from now on, like most league games. I like the revised and expanded N.O.s in BM vs G40.

Ugh, opening Brit round similar fleet battles in game with D.A. Brit attacked Ger BB with 3 planes, attack of 10 against 1 ship defense of 4. Took 3 rounds and Ger hit every round, killing all 3 planes. SZ97, Brit rolled below average 2/5, while both Ita ships hit 2/2. Because I didn’t sink the BB on round 1, it hit again on round 2. So in 2 sea battles, Axis hit 6/6 on expensive ships and planes. While in Eth, Ita rolled 0/6, where the units were cheap and I had lots left over.
In the game with D.A., Brit lost all units in Eth, while Ita lost none.
Would have preferred a normal dice roll in all the battles. -

Well, some good finally came out of a Taranto attack for me. Snake eyes for the Brit survivors of their attack on Italian fleet chased away the Italians and give the Brits a chance to take some Ger planes with them on G2.

When doing UK NCM, I noticed the Ger sub, way at the top of the map. So I opened a save game and performed just a battle with Canadian DD that had not moved this turn. Your sub sank my DD. So I edited the loss of my dd. Loss of DD meant I couldn’t build tt in Canada, so had to build differently than planned. If you don’t think I should have done the battle after starting NCM, I will be happy to undo it. :relaxed:
