Witt (Carthage) vs Colt45554 (Rome) 270 BC
-
I tried that new version yesterday and was whooping AI Carthage but the Seleucid forces are so damn strong! Parthia was getting hammered while Antioch’s new northern allies kept Armenia and the other pro-roman ally in check. At least Greece doesn’t start as haplessly.
-
@Colt45:
my first round at Corinth was very uninspired. Where’s the early war fever!? I’m tracking your playoff vs Pete… +35 bid! I’ll be really embarrassed now if i lose to gazza who jumped all the way down to 8. i would’ve hesitated to ask you to be against the Romans had
I known you are Italian haha. I remember the real Wittmann now. He was the most successful tanker of the war, right?I thought Wittmann was , but I had bought into the Nazi propaganda. There was a more successful tank ace, but he was not SS or Ayrian looking. He might even have been a Czech! I am afraid I have forgotten his name. Will google him tomorrow. Ben Worsham (on this site) drew my attention to him a few years ago.
Wittmann got all the publicity, but he was not the greatest tank ace.Re the game with Pete: my bid was negated by a lucky Italian T1. Will be hard with win, with his Germans buying so many Mechanised forces. The Russians buy Inf and cannot move to keep up with the Germans. I expect to lose.
-
You were surprised by the J1DoW. Is that pretty uncommon for top-tier players?
-
I don’t play many games and that was only the third one done against me.

-
Well I had bought a couple cavalry to smash Athens after you would take it Mac1 but after our two battles, I fear Greece is already finished :-o!
-
You have the income, but can only buy 6 units. Is so risky building an IC for them. The whole peninsular is a mess.
