The stars are the same thing, they also represent “rank” of power, like mods are green, members are yellow, etc…
Congrats AaA.org, you have reached a pinnacle of gamedom! We have now as of 6:14 PM (EST) 4001 members logged in… Congrats to
kostenlose-klingeltoene who is our 4,000 member and 1stcasino for pushing us over… Thanks so much to everyone who has logged in and contributed to the site to make it what it is! Everone grab a beverage of choice (H2O for me) ahd give yourself cheers…
Raising a Newcastle and adding my “Hell Yea!” to the chorus
newcastle?, damn switch i expected at least a bud since you are a southern boy
But how many active members do we have?
Boo ya! I’ll drink a Vault to that! (As if I need a reason… :P)
Jen, I understand your point, I think though that it is a reason to get “happy”. This post is more thanking Djensen for making a community that so many enjoy whether they post or not. I know that there are those that merely come for questions, some for games, some for Gaming discussion, some for “enlightening conversation”. Whether you post or not doesn’t make you less in this community and that your here and we have reached a “landmark” is worth “Celebrating”. Thanks Djensen, we owe you one!
I wasn’t implying a worth for those who post or a lack of worth for those that don’t. I was just wondering with 4000 registered members how many were active.
Based on what I ahve seen, we have a lot more people in the Minis area than the other game specific areas. And the House Rulles forum has a lot of active folks. Games is VERY active now also.
A lot of folks have their “niche” and only are active in those areas of the boards.
well for statistics Jen:
342 Members who posted 20+ Posts (“Active”)
Active “Poster” per “capita”: 11.7
So we have about 1/10 “activity”…
That is actually EXCELLENT for an online board.
Yea, 342 active members is tremendous!
We are only 1,100 people behind Avalon Hill in terms of total membership. I say we try to overtake them somehow…. any ideas?
Well if you want to you could “broadcast” us over there, or atleast encourage people to join into something, like AARHE, or just mention it in passing about a certain conversation…
I’m allready doing that… but i suppose when thats done and complete well include it as a free download for new members?
BTW we need a section for the new “Bulge” thing as a new official game… complete with optional rules and all the standard accoutrements.
I would also like to see some kind of image section where people can take pictures of their games demonstrating some new strategy. The visual approach would be something that would be unique and draw people who are too lazy to set up their board and follow a bunch of text
The other purpose could be to showcase their painted piece sets… or some custom thing they did to the game… like a homemade dicetower
just some thoughts…
Good… RuneBlades games would be cool to put up as like an alternate download area to the site. That would beef it up (plus all the usual PBEM, online play helps, etc.)…
A great way to get the word out about the site is to get other website to link to this site. I’m willing to link to any site that links to this one.
If anybody has suggestions, let me know.
