Maybe it is an issue with us using incombatible versions. What version are you using?
I managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Hard to believe that a single misstep could so dramatically become a game changer. Can’t stop you from taking Moscow and Germany getting income of about 100 for a turn; and racing across Russia. Or Italy getting the windfall. I was so focused on preventing Italy opening Germany to outflank in the south and onto Mideast, that I overlooked Italy can opening Germany in the north. The Allies had stalled the Axis everywhere and I had a decent chance of winning over the course of another long game. How depressing. But I will soldier on. The lesson learned won’t be very useful, as the situation of a strong Russia and a stalled German advance is not likely to repeat so dramatically.

@ArtofWar1947
Apparently, I clicked twice on transports instead of on DDs during my purchase. Two more transport would not be helpful, but sub hunters would be.

OOL Japan fleet sz46. Attacking with entire U.S. fleet. Expect 13 hits. I will roll each round separately.
Also, repeat attack on sz125: submerge German sub like last turn? 2 U.S. bombers & sub vs DD.
@FMErwinRommel
German sub stays and fights in SZ 46.
You mean German sub in sz125?
@FMErwinRommel
Correct.
U.S. sub hits, have to decide before bombers attack, but should be simultaneous. I will take the sub as hit, assuming bombers hit.
U.S. subs 2 hits in Pacific, will take 2 BB tilt.
11 more hits round 1, total 13 hits as expected
@FMErwinRommel
Tilt 5 CVs; sink 6 Ss.
14 hits round 2. I took 2 CVs sunk, all subs sunk and 2 DDs. I took 13 hits in round 1.
Those casualties are what I took as hits to my fleet
@FMErwinRommel
Japanese sustained a total of 13 hits on the first round.
How many hits did they sustain on the second round?
14 hits to you on round 2
@FMErwinRommel
Would you either post the map of what is left or summarize this information in a post. Thanks.
Japan left: 22 combat units: 2 tilted BB, 5 tilted CV, 5 DD, 2 CA, 8 fighters
U.S. left: 23 units: 3 CV, 2 DD, 14 fighters, 1 TAC, 3 bombers
next time will try to post after round. Can’t do it in middle of round
