@WILD-BILL Eqqman is correct.
How are minefields determined?
-
Are minefields automatically placed by all ports?
Are all ports also naval bases where battleship’s may be repaired and where ships may be built/placed?
How many ports/naval bases/minesfields are there?
-
The Port symbol is used to represent a Naval Base and each has a minefield.
There are two off the UK(8 and9); one off US(SZ1); two off France15 and 16); one around Italy(17); one Austrian off Trieste(18); the Turks have one(20); Russia have three(21 Black Sea and 6 and 12 Baltic and White Sea ); Germany has two(10 and 11, either side of Denmark).
There is no Naval Base off India, so no ships can be built there, neither is there one off Egypt.
Think that is it Shakespeare. -
A battleship can be repaired at a friendly(Krieg’s confirmation) Naval Base as long as it is capable of mobilising Sea Units.
Comtrol of the Base is determined if you had the territory it is in from the beginning of the turn, or if it is a Contested territory, then the original owner controls it.

Thanks again.

Is no bother: am sitting staring at the map, yearning to advance(roll).
My friend is at work and I work evenings. Grrr!
Have played one turn and can’t wait to play more. -
It’s that good, then? I’m sort of on the fence on this one at the moment…

I like many things about it and dislike some things.
Last game I bought was 2nd Edit Global, so not much to play/consider as I had 1st Edit. I can plan, write up and generally waste my time on this one. Will PM you later tonight when work is quiet.
