    • [Global 1940] France Goes First Idea

      I was thinking for new players to axis and allies you could let France go first. Also France could be a single playable country. I think this is just a good, fun, and new idea in general. It also gives the Allies lots of options. For example France can take Northern Italy or try to take Western Germany or Belgium/Holland. Try it out.

      @AndrewAAGamer I would disagree about France. France can be really helpful. They have a Fighter in London. And 5 guys in Africa. If the person playing as France saves the French fighter I fly it down to Algeria and stack with 2 or 3 men plus the fighter. After that I push my way east towards Egypt. The Guy in Syria Goes down to Egypt same with the guy in French West Africa. If their fleet in the Mediterranean survives it can evacuate and help the fight againsent the German Sub barrage, or other German ships. The Destroyer in French Madagascar can go to Egypt or India. And if their is a guy in French Indo China he can go backwards to India. If it goes really well for the French they will have 74 IPC’s. They have 8 Infantry, 2 Destroyers, 2 Cruisers, and 1 Fighter. This is the best scenario for them. Worst is they make it out with 6 Infantry, 1 Destroyer. The Worst case is not as good but the French still can do stuff. They are not pointless. When they get or if they get back in the game at the end they can pump out 19 IPC’s each round. This could be 3 Infantry, 1 Artillery, and 1 Tank.

      How Do AAA Guns Work? In Axis & Allies North Africa? The part I’m really stuck on is what do they roll on to hit? Is it a one still? Are they useful? Why do they cost only three? (Except the German one).

      I think realistically in order for the Axis to win is for them to take Russia’s three capitals. And the Japs take over all over China and a large chunk of the pacific. I think the Allies would try to negotiate with the Axis party’s at the point.

      @AndrewAAGamer I’m saying that if the setup the player chooses has one their. And btw their should at least be one guy in Indo China. To prove this, there were about 50,000 troops in Algeria this equals one French Infantry according to the setup. While Indo China had 75,000 troops. And their is no Vichy rule as well. So there should be a guy there.

    • Small but impactful balanced changes. Global 1940.

      China Changes.

      1 AAA Gun added to Shezwan and Yunnan.
      China can purchase AAA Guns.

      France Changes.

      French Fight from London has been removed.

      French Cruiser next to Normandy has been removed.

      One Battleship added to Normandy.

      1 Transport and destroyer added to Bordeaux.

      French destroyer in Madagascar has been switched to a Cruiser.

      1 Infantry, 1 Artillery, 1 Naval Base, 1 Airfield Added to Indochina.

      Vichy Rules: Southern France is Pro Axis switch French units to German same with sea zone. All North Africa French Territories are Pro Axis switch French units to German. For Indochina roll a dice on a roll of 5-6 that territory is Pro Axis 1-4 is Allies. The rest are free French.

      UK Changes.

      1 Infantry added to France and Egypt.

      Anzac Changes.

      1 Sub added to Sea Zone 54.

      Italy Changes.

      1 Tactical bomber added to Southern Italy. 1 Infantry added to Libya

      Russia Changes.

      All Naval units in the Pacific must stay next to Soviet territories until attacked. 1 Destroyer added to Sea Zone 5.

      US Changes.

      1 AAA Gun Added to Hawaii and Philippines. 1 Artillery added to Philippines. 1 Infantry added to Alaska. 1 Battleship and Aircraft Carrier (Carrying 1 Fight and 1 Tactical Bomber) added to Hawaii.

      Japan Changes.

      1 Cruiser added to Japan.

      German Changes.

      One Sub Added to Berlin.

      Anymore ideas let me know!

      @MarshmallowofWar WOW! Thank you for all your help! I guess I mis-understood the threat, it really was not that large.

      Also the U.S. has 4 transports fully loaded 2 Cruisers 3 Carries fully loaded a battleship and three subs. Plus 11 Bombers.

      I’m just worried about all of the bombers.

    • Japan Tricky Situation

      Please look at the attached picture.

      Japan has few issues on the board right now.

      One of them being that all of their naval units are out of range of the American fleet heading for Tokyo

      Also, Japan does nto have a lot of naval units left due to them not taking care of the Anzac which lead them to build up.

      Also btw the dice does not represent the round number.

      @SuperbattleshipYamato I hear the opposite from others. So guess maybe th egame is balanced because a lot of people say the axis are over powerd than a lot say the Allies are. So maybe then this is a balance game! I made these changes assuming a axis advantage btw.

      Larry’s 1942 Global setup put an even more (unimportant label) on the French. So I wanted to make some changes that balance the game, note they might not be completely historically accurate.

      1 Destroyer and Transport added to British fleet by London, forgot sea zone name…

      1 Infantry added to Algeria.

      1 Infantry added to egypt with a mech.

      A transport added to the fleet of french west africa.

      1 Infantry added in syria.

      1 Infantry to London.

      @SuperbattleshipYamato It works!! I’m not sure if I was supposed to have a strong enough force to attack on my own but I was. I will try it a few more times to come to a conclusion. If you follow this, the Americans are basically strong enough to attack on their own in some areas. Thanks!
