    by the way, my initial plan was to go two rounds with the germans and then mop up with the japanese in egypt.  you just never know in this game, but let’s just say i’m usually where you’re at, getting pounded by the dice.  :roll:

    my experience has been pretty good with the odds calculator but the Egypt battle really put that to the test.  It said 70% chance of UK victory and I got killed.  Oh well.

    no it was correct.  that battle skewed pretty hard for the attacker.  as i said, it is a big advantage to be the attacker in a battle like that because if you get a positive skew you can continue and the defender is just helpless.  if it goes poorly in round 1 the attacker can just retreat.

    Yes, but the point was to bleed out the german forces.  Maybe there would have been enough to counter the japanese or at least make it hurt for them.  I wasn’t trying to hold Egypt, more just seeing it as a way to reduce Axis power though a favorable exchange.  I wonder if the dice gods hate that and decided to have the dice run away from me.  :|
