Though I never seen the program allow an illegal move, I suppose this is possible. (I have seen it choose an aircraft with more remaining spaces chosen as a loss over an aircraft with fewer remaining spaces. But that does not seem to apply here.)
An alternative is that moving a fighter from Kwangsi to Malaya was legal according to the logic of the program but that your NCM did not conform to this logic (i.e., the program figured that fighter that attacked Malaya from Kwangsi was supposed to land on the CV now in 132). It would take a deep analysis to figure out which is true or if there is another reason.I would rather not redo the whole CM and combat. The allies scored 3 hits on 10 rolls at 2–slightly better than the 2.67 hits expected: 2.67. I don’t trust Marti to be so kind in a redo.
As I see it, you have three options:
- Do the deep but time-consuming analysis and figure out if you can adjust your NCM to comply with program’s logic (if the analysis indicates this is the case).
- Redo the battle of Malaya only, leaving the otherwise stranded fighter out of fight (leaving it in Kwangsi).
- Leave the map as it is and ditch the stranded fighter.
I’d prefer Option 3 :), but sportsmanship dictates I could accept Option 1 or 2.

I played through the NCM and got the message: Airunits cannot land in Malaya. You have 1 carrier on which planes can land.
So the program, either due to a fault in its logic or your NCM not conforming to its correct logic, clearly believes a carrier is available to land fighter in Malaya.

@artofwar1947 I do believe there was an error "done2 by the engine since if you do NCMs with one air at the time, there is however you do it one too few landing spots on ACs/previously controlled territories. At least that’s what I get. I am very fine with redoing the Malaya battle here in the thread if you’re ok with that leaving out the Kwangsi fig.
