Is this your worst Axis round 1 ever?
L22 PtV 666 (allies) vs Nikola1975 (ax+7)

Hm, I just came back to ask. I thought it is possible to scramble from the carriers only to the territories with defending land units. I know that TripleA engine does not respect all the rules, so I am not sure now? Do you know?
In case it is possible to scramble to defend planes, would you mind me taking the fighter back, obviously I would not make that attack in that case?

I assume that aircraft can be scrambled to defend land and air units. I’ll ask for clarification and if they can be scrambled then yes, you can redo your turn.

I will pull it back. Even if it can’t scramble, and you have assumed it can, it would not be fair to you.

you don’t need to do that, the best to learn from a mistake is to be bitten.

@666 Well, I posted the move, so let’s continue from there.

This is from Simon…about 4 hours ago
Yes I am pretty sure. They updated the notes on land scrambles to include air units being enough to allow the scramble a while back. Can’t imagine that CVs would be excluded. Although I am not the arbiter.I could ask Gamerman and/or Adam fro a definitive ruling if you’d like. Let me know.
-
@666 Yes, I have read the game notes again. You are right, they would have mentioned it specifically if it was the case, as there are remarks related to seazone scramblings.
Sorry about the mess.

No worries, I make mistakes all the time. Feel free to redo your G turn.

It is a correct move I sent yesterday, you can play it from there.

Please use this file, second time I forgot to move that FRE dd. Thanks

You are pressing me well in the Pacific. American carrier with ANZAC plane is another one of those moves I need to remember. With those Russian subs, you have done lot of damage to the Japanese navy.

you should also be paying more attention to the NO’s, and making small changes to your purchases and strategies to take these away from your opponents.
-
Well, I am trying. I have learned that NOs are extremely important for PtV, especially in the Pacific, but I am not managing to take them and hold them. Usually I first go for South Pacific islands and take Guam in the round that Japan attacks, but this was stopped now due to Soviet subs. Now, missing another 2 transports to do that.
Not sure about purchases though, I guess I am not seeing everything yet.

it’s easy enough to stop R from getting some of theirs with the purchase of subs by G & J and parking them in certain sea zones. Same with preventing some UK NO’s, my comment wasn’t so much about taking them as them axis but preventing the allies from getting theirs. Just something I noticed as we played.
-
@nikola1975 I have decided against any axis scrambles here as the odds are overwhelming but if you want to scramble we can re-roll that battle. Just let me know.

-
@666 Hm, yes, you are right, Arhangelsk bonus could be stopped with a sub and far Eastern with another one. I usually do that, at least in the Pacific, but here I am feeling I need every ship to fight off the US.
