@ksmckay Initially I thought it was a calculated move to put the US in the main Hawaii sea zone while being greedy with UK, so that the Axis need to choose between Sealion and Pearl Harbor. I would have chosen Sealion, so your US fleet would have gotten away with it and could have stacked the Queensland sea zone this round, but you retreated to the other side of Hawaii instead, putting the US out of range of most important targets on future rounds.

ok, Germany can wait till G4 for sea lion though right? Nothing forcing them to go on G3. You could just drop units in Sco and be in better position on G4. The only reason against that is that japan doesnt get to DOW, but thats not the case if I DOW on you.

@Adam514 Seemed like pearl harbour would have been a no brainer, think the TUV was pretty solidly in your favor and then you probably dont need to sea lion. Or at least that would be my initial impression. But I have to see how well sea lion plays out. I wasnt sure.

Yeah Germany can wait, but that gives the UK another 10 units forcing more unit commitment from Germany, and that will give Russia a massive push in Europe.
Pearl Harbour still puts a lot of Japanese units out of position. It’s a good attack when isolated, but doing it on J2 would prevent worsen Sealion and leave the Med permanently in the hands of the Allies. There was a tradeoff.

only seen a few g4 sea lions but the ones I did see were blowouts in part resulting from UK DOW. but perhaps with stronger russia, it doesnt work as well in this version.

guess thats just something you get with experience. I was also concerned that if I stacked EPol, you might forego sea lion and annihilate the russians.
If you had gone g4, your expected TUV would have been >90 and probably no air or tank losses. Russian push would definitely have been worse, but you would have been able to land 11 transports worth of units on g5 combined with all inf build g4. That just seemed more likely to me. and combined with a free attack J3, seemed like that would be the better play.
Just not sure what the tradeoffs are.

I am a fan of g4 SL and I have done it quite successfully before. but with this new map, who knows, I’d have to rethink everything and not take anything for granted :)
