    I believe I should be down to 1 anzac fighter on a US carrier.

    Also, not sure if I just committed suicide with my moves in Europe. It was only after UK combats that I realized that I had forgotten to count your German mechs in Rome in combats in yugoslavia or S France. I’m still hoping that the risks of attacking either the fleet or South France will protect both but I guess I will find out soon.

    @farmboy I would have still gone for the fleet if your French fighter would still defend. 2 more fighters, I doubt it. S France would look good without the French and 1 more fighter so might have done that.

    Yeah. The TUV of the fleet was going to be worse for me but I was thinking it was better to trade fleet against air than trading land units at a loss. the flip side is that if the fleet was there, I’d have a lot more options in the med.

    6 survivors were the most likely outcome. Germans got just one (1.4) extra plane left compared to the most likely outcome.

    Overall, trading German planes for fleet is definitely the favorable trade Allies usually want to do. But in turn 23 in a stalemate-ish situation which favors the Allies, total TUV and units on the board matter.

    I caught myself by committing to S France with all the US units, and not counting the German mechs in Rome in combats until after the UK combat moves. Even with what I had, this was probably borderline doable if I had made some different choices or different purchases. But I was stuck either giving up the US stack in S France or trading the fleet with German air. Need to be more careful.
