alright. clock is ticking, you have until next G turn to regain a VC in europe or else…

And in fact, I cannot, barring a couple of places where I need all hits with you all misses. Will post.

Sorry I didn’t give you a better run for your money.

Thanks for the game, don’t think I said that.

I’m up for a rematch if you are. We could swap sides but I feel that I’m more competitive with allies in BM. Or we can bid again if you prefer. Strangely in G40 I think I play Axis better, or maybe that is because of low bids online.

  • the whole alaska thing was meant to be a distraction to pull america away from the real dangers the allies faced in the atlantic… and it worked like a charm. i think the boldness of investing a couple facilities there really got you worried enough to drop loads of troops and waste a lot of time there, perfectly setting up for the final kill on a sea lion. just surprised you totally missed the danger to london…

It wasn’t that I didn’t see it but I didn’t expect a sea lion with only 4 transports. I did expect a round with a lot of boats dropped in the sea. But I did really know if that happened London was toast. I thought I had to take that chance because UK couldn’t afford to take its eye off the Middle East. I was really worried about your mobile forces coming down from USSR and killing my Middle East force. By the end my ME force had some strength but it wasn’t always thus.

I suspect I was really hurt by losing that 110 battle where I tried to kill your sub. It was a 96% battle. This meant I couldn’t move my CV to 92 like I usually would. Sure Italy can attack it but they have better things to do. I have pondered a few things in my head and I think it would have been better in this game to have kept the BB in 111 rather than the ftr so that I could use it as a blocker to Gibraltar. It would also have given me better odds in the battle with your sub, but putting it in 110 does allow Italy to can open. if it’s 2 sea units+1ftr scrambling, it’s a 3 on 3 battle so Italy may not do so. All this would make moving the CV to 92 with 2ftr feasible if a target. Your convoying subs really cost UK dearly in the early rounds also, at least compared to what it should have been able to do.

I wonder if I should have not left Sudan and the Middle East in the middle of the game. Which ever way you went, the other force could probably have retaken Egypt but there is the option that you might have had of Germany going one way and Italy the other.

I do think that the Alaska force needed to be dealt with, otherwise you could have landed on San Fran which would have been bad.

    Anyway, those are my thoughts.

But my main stuff up this game was losing Egypt early, cheaply and unnecessarily.
