    I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to think of a way to regain the lost ground, and with Japan completely out of the game and Russia being so incredibly strong, it’s become clear to me that there’s no way out.

    Yeah I was surprised I was doing fine after so many battles did not go my way. I guess Japan doing a late DOW really hurts his economy so getting crushed in a naval battle is not so bad for USA.

    Thanks, Cow!  That means a lot from you.

    My rationale for the J4 was that whenever I’m playing Japan, and I DOW on J1 or J2, I always seem to run low on ground units right when I really need them, and sort of stall out.  I was thinking that perhaps spending a few rounds shucking large numbers of troops over from the home islands might mitigate the loss of income, but I do believe that idea has been put to rest.

    Yeah better to make more money so you can get fighters and just lose a few fighters attacking small stacks of infantry with air.
