Germany coming this evening, as you guys envisaged by bomber and land troops position in previous german turn, Calcutta was the next target and not Egypt. As you can see we were not searching for a quick win in Europe but a more interesting game to see how the intriguing strategy that you applied trying to sink Japan works in the end.
You have placed all reinforcements possible in Calcutta during this turn, but we had calculated the combat in LL when we did the previous german move considering those numbers, and the worst result for us in LL is 2 tanks and 6 bombers surviving, so the only question is if we will have to use our last LL reroll token here or not, those allied forces in the area should pray what they know. :evil:
For this reason we accepted a -40 in Gibraltar in previous turn. On one hand we had to preserve the LL reroll for Calcutta, and on the other hand, eliminating those land troops in Gibraltar was the only way to protect the Atlantic coasts and Rome, and at the same time permit one more turn of long asiatic trip for the remaining german bombers after your very acute Romania attack. That was a very very nice move by yourselves that we did not envisage and has provided some more game.
Let´s see how this very interesting match evolves once the Allies loose Calcutta, we are taking it at a high cost in Europe which is added to the -100 that you scored in the planes battle in Romania overall, but it should work for the Axis pretty well.
