@simon33 Sorry. Travelling. Will continue on Sunday or Monday.
Re Nornandy. Yes, sorry, I wanted to write a note (that you edit it) with a savegame but forgot.
MORE LIKE I DO THE SAME STRATEGY IN SETS. ONE OF THE GAMES WENT TO ROUND 3 AND I WAS LIKE OH YEAH RUSSIA GETS TO WAR ME BACK DUH.
DOING THE SAME STRATEGY IN ALL YOUR GAMES MAKES IT EASIER TO REMEMBER SOME THINGS.
YOU DID NOT TAKE YOUR TURN, IT IS NOT MY FAULT. SO I REMEMBERED A RULE AND WAS LIKE HUGH WHAT GAME DID I SCREW UP IN…. OH YEAH.
ok well, no more edits for you until i use my 4. then we go 1 for 1 from then on.
TECHNICALLY YOU FORGOT TO LAND SOME AIR UNITS ON BURMA AND YOU EDITED THEM BACK IN. SO WE ARE ALL GOOD.
YOU CAN HAVE MY RAW TURNS IF THOSE FIGHTERS CRASHED N BURNED.
THAT EDIT CAME BACK ON ANZAC WHICH YOU DID NOT POST, YOU POSTED FRANCE ONLY.
I WAS NOT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING BUT SINCE YOU BRING THESE THINGS UP I GUESS I GOT TO.
that’s not an edit. but for sake of shutting you up, let’s say that is one of my four. then i have three left until we go 1 for 1.
putting aircraft back on the board that crashed and burned because they were not landed when tripleA should not have allowed them to crash since all aircraft than can land must land (yet another huge tripleA mistake) is NOT an edit, even though the edit function was used to correct the tripleA error.
now rather than continue to be argumentative for no reason, how about you allow this game to continue with the MORE THAN FAIR suggestion i have put forth.
i have to rethink my entire move now after this extremely late edit - possibly able to post in the next hour or two. pretty sure i’m attacking 113 with sub, cruiser though so let me know if you want to scramble if i make that attack if you want.
CALL A MOD. YOU HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO POST.
YES YOU CAN FORGET TO LAND PLANES. AFTER ALL SOMETIMES CARRIERS DIE ON ATTACK AND THE PLANES MUST CRASH N BURN. TECHNICALLY IF YOU FORGET AND I POST…. I SHOULD GET TO DECIDE WHERE THE PLANES LAND. OH SHNAP.
YOUR FIGHTERS MUST HAVE A POSSIBLE LANDING PAD, NO WHERE IN THE RULES DOES IT SAY YOU MUST LAND IT. YOU COULD TOTALLY DO SOMETHING ELSE WITH YOUR CARRIERS IN NON COMBAT.
ok contact gamerman if you want to try to be a stickler on this topic. i’d like to know gamer’s answer on the landing of planes issue.
it may have to go to krieg but i doubt it. if your plane can land but only on an acc, the acc must catch it. therefore, i believe, if a plane can land it must land. if you saw that my planes didn’t land you could have said something about it - i never mentioned anything because it was obvious that tripleA should have prompted me to land the planes, which it either did not do or i didn’t see it. either way, i don’t think it’s proper that tripleA allows you to leave noncom if there is an eligible spot for your planes to land.
It is not obvious and I only bring it up because you bring up this shit. you fucking nerd.
All I hear is, “I was going to do a turn, but then I did not because I had to think about it.”
Think faster next time.
And like how do I know where you were going to land your planes. I had to do Italy without that knowledge. I just did it. That is how I roll.
Turn down for what. See if we play without edits you can have those fighters crash n burn that is only fair.
MEMES
First of all, name-calling is inappropriate, Cow
Second, the rules require you to pick up aircraft in the noncombat movement phase if possible. See page 22, 3rd bullet point as well as other rules relating to aircraft and also aircraft carriers. The rule book is very clear.
Third, it is the official stance of the moderators that strictly speaking, once you have submitted a completed phase to the forum you can’t go back to previous phases and change them without the consent of your opponent. If you come to us, this is what we’ll fall back to, because it’s consistent and it follows the rule book. Technically, every time you allow an edit to your opponent after their turn was complete, you are giving them permission to break the rules.
However
I just looked at the late edits in question. Although Bold said he had his move planned out, I don’t think the edits of the 3 German boats really change the Russian turn that much. Also, they are obvious, when Russia is first at war. Cow caught it before there was any sign of Bold moving. My opinion is that these edits would normally be allowed by a reasonable player.
It seems Bold is really trying to say “no more edits” because you’ve made several already and he hasn’t made any? (Which is why you 2 are arguing about the planes crashing?)
If you guys can’t agree on allowing simple late edits, then you’ll probably have to go to a strict no late edits policy. As for this edit with the Germans, it’s pretty clear:
A reasonable player under normal circumstances would graciously allow this late edit even being 16 hours late. Even in a tournament situation, I think. However, it seems Bold feels Cow is abusing the late edit privilege and is calling a stop to it.
Bottom line is, Bold has every right to deny these late edits because they are against the rule book. You are going back and making non-combat movements after placing new units and collecting, and this is not allowed by the league moderators without permission from your opponent.
This is the risk you take when you play people you know are likely to be antagonistic.
So do the planes crash? He did that edit without my permission.
