    Just noticed this……Yeah dice can sure suck. I’ve had to walk away a few times. Some dicing of course hurts more than others. When it happens to me I feel some wronged and when it happens against my opponents, I chalk it up to the “fog go war”.  :-D
    I can’t do LL. The game, IMO, becomes a big math equation. If I wanted to take luck away to that extent I would and do log onto chess.com

    Whenever there is a potential battle of any magnitude or importance, the game becomes a big math equation. Low luck significantly reduces the variables in the equation and makes solving the equation considerably easier.

    I’d rather win or lose because of strategy rather than luck. But to each his own. Indeed, the maxim is that winning a war is half strategy and half luck.

    I understand and agree with you….but consider this, with all of the variables that “luck” brings into this game there are still players that rarely lose. That is amazing to me and makes me feel that even with the variables that NON LL games have, strategy & tactics still trumps all other factors in this game, even with the crazy, stupid dice that haunts us all.

    It’s the fog of war………
