Barons to busy. We don’t need his collaborate.
Hi Trout,
Is this an OOB game ?
If this is a G40 HRE game, where are the expansion units…?
What are the LEGO units in Middle East representing…?
@The-Captain Using LEGO in honor of the Captain’s heritage :) MPE is my 15-year old son and he still has his LEGO’s from his younger years. We have our own system for the HRE rules using G40, A&A WWI, A&A Classic and LEGO pieces. So for example:
Maybe someday we will have enough games under our belts to earn the free HRE pieces then we can use the real stuff. Until then this is our system for our G40 HRE Board Games using pieces we have readily available to us.
Great invention - use what you have to make it work.
Please note:
The G40 HRE rulebook includes all the original Full Color game pieces (markers & roundels) that you need to play the game.
You just need to print out these pages in the rulebook - and cut/punch out the roundels & markers.
You can print and cut out the Army Boards etc. in the same way.
This is what most players do - as you can see on this Game Report thread - which also saves space on the game board.

Great Game Report,
It seems that Germany is under pressure… with the Allied landings in Western Europe - and the Soviets in Romania…
We really look forward to the next Game Report
Captain
@The-Captain
No, these pictures are from when we paused the game at the end of Round 5 (after France) - Early 1942. We’re about to start Late 1942.
No, surprisingly the Soviets didn’t produce Soviet Guard Infantry units.
Wow, the Soviet player was so focused on Paratroopers and the front line that he totally forgot about the Red Army Conscription rule. Being Japan, I wasn’t paying too close attention to what the Soviet player was doing if it didn’t involve my side of the world. Being a friendly game, I would have no problem with allowing him to do this in Round 6 unless you think it would disrupt game balance.
Ugh, thank you for that reminder, Captain, we were discussing that bonus a turn or two prior but I just confirmed that he didn’t take that bonus. We’ll let him do it before Germany takes his turn. I was focused on the Pacific side and didn’t pay close attention when Germany launched his attack.
Yes - big turn coming up for Germany!
@The-Captain CORRECTION!
I just talked with the Soviet player and he thought he could make them anytime starting in Early 1942, and overlooked the fact that he could ONLY make them in Early 1942.
We appreciate that you play with Gentlemanly Warfare.
We support that that the Soviet player should be allowed to purchase RAC Infantry in Late 1942.
We suggest that the Soviet player should receive 10 IPC - and use or save them - before the German player starts in Late 1942.
Important:
From the beginning of the Soviet players turn in Late 1941, the USSR receives 1 Free Tank unit in each round. See more information at pg. 13 in the rulebook.
Remember:
The Timetable should be available at the game table. This is a big help for each player.
Refer to the Timetable each time you start planning your next turn.
@The-Captain Yes, we did remember the tank in the Urals.
We do have the Timetable next to the army boards, it’s just a matter of remembering to look at it. I usually announce the new rules that come in effect each turn, but not sure I did that in Early 1942.
You could make it more manageable by doing the same as we do: see below.
I’ll also attach the pdf files later.

@The-Captain Yes, that’s a nice setup!

Rounds 6 - end
Germany - Josh S.

Due to an oversight USSR received 10 IPC from Germany attacking them, and was able to execute Conscription in turn 6.

Woot! Woot! See pictures of what the board looked like at the end of the game.

Great game - and game report.
Remember:
Note 5:
Only the original owner of the Industrial Complex can upgrade to Heavy Industry Production.
See more information in the rulebook pg. 27.
@The-Captain ooohhhh we forgot about that!
I’m not sure how much of a difference 2 less u-boats would have made but we definitely need to remember that!
Nice :)
Yea the spreadsheet for triplea has 34 Games so far and they avg 10 -11 rds so 1945 basically. If we throw out the outliers I’d say another year 13-15 rds but triplea allows one to play longer as no space or time constraint.
I think if/when a league starts play will speed up a little as there is no need to play to the end. However the takeover happens mid late game and usually prolongs our games at least another 3 rds.
We are all basically new/limited playing the mod though, even if we have OOB A&A experience.
At any rate, while not as user friendly as I’d like, thanks to Victory, we are recording the triplea games :)
Edit
Currently
18 Axis
14 Allies
Also two multis that haven’t been recorded yet. Looks like 1-1 with those, with one multi going to almost 1950 and the other more in line with the mean game time.
Edit
correction Multis are gonna be 2-0 Allies
Thanks for recording them! It’s really helpful.
