Interesting. Yes the ability to put subs in the med probably greatly increases their utility by precluding the uk from placing a destroyer in the english channel to protect a landing in Morocco, which hopefully bus Italy some time to earn some objective money. I know they only have two, but with such a small economy the NOs increase Italy’s capacity to contribute by quite a bit, proportionally speaking.
Rules manual in PDF?

does anyone have a pdf version of the 1942 rules?
-
They should be available on the Wizards of the Coast website. A google search should get you there pretty quickly.

If you’d done the Google search you recommended, I think you’d find that new 1942 rules aren’t available anywhere. At least, I wasn’t able to find them.
The most recent version of the rules available on the web appears to be the Revised edition published in 2004. If anyone has a PDF of the rules published summer 2009, I’d appreciate it.

What do you mean?
The rules of AA50-1942? It’s the same rulebook as for AA50-1941. Only the turn order and the setup is different.
They are here:
http://www.wizards.com/AvalonHill/rules/AxAl-AnEd_Rules.pdfand the new FAQ:
http://harrisgamedesign.com/pdf/A&A_Anniversary_FAQ.pdfIn case you mean the rules of Spring 1942 this is the wrong forum. But the rulebook is not available online at the moment.

that it will be available soon.HTH

You’re right, wrong forum. Sorry!
I thought this was the forum for the Spring 1942 rules, but see now that it’s a 1942 variant of the AA50 rules–different beast. I think the original poster was confused as well…
