• if this is what you are talking about
    http://www.boardgamegeek.com/file/info/25840
then yes it was made from a version of IL’s (Imperious Leader) AARHE map

did you find what you want at jeffdestroyer’s link?

by the way, you can customize some pdfs yourself with Illustrator/Acrobat
other IL or myself can probably make a change or two for you

are you taking it somewhere to print or printing it in A4/letter tiles?
we can give you .png tiles if you are printing it in tiles

Please excuse my ignorance, what do you mean by tiles?
Do you mean in pieces like 8.5" by 11" sheet of paper?

If so, I would like to do that.  I don’t have illustrator to resize to 30" by 50"
Who do I politely ask to do that?  Or does such a file already exist?

    Exactly, that was it !
He printed it as a single map and it was the size of the OOB AA50 map, approximately.

I’ve been downloading a couple of PDFs from jeffderstroyer’s link (thank you, thank you!).

    AA50 Final phase1 copy.pdf
    AA50 basic version copy.pdf (from 12/01/2008)

At first glance, I can’t tell any difference from them, apart from the file size.

My first idea is to print it as a single map.
If that is very costly, I don’t know.
I can’t see many advantages of tiles over my OOB map.
Anyway, thank you very much for your offering !

  • speaking of all this, does anyone know if there’s going to be a larger version off the map that can be purchased? some people (yes, i’m one of them haha) don’t have the time to mess around with printing and sealing and all that

  • It will never happen. You have to either make it happen yourself or follow somebody who did it and make the effort to print it off.

All you need is to put the file on disk and give to the printers and pick up the map when ready. It is not difficult.

tiles is just so you can print at home on the cheap
also easier to transport or repair
you can still print at it any size

what if i paid someone to do it for me?  :-P

  • yes give the file to the printer and pay them. They will produce the copy from your file. easy.

I suppose you can pay someone to make a copy of the file from your computer and be a courier and run down to the printer as well. You can pay someone to play it too.

  • i didn’t mean JUST printing it haha. i mean the whole box-and-dice. printing and covering so it’s a complete board

but i wasn’t overly serious anyway, so don’t worry  :-)
