    Good question. The answer is, once Southern France is taken, the XML switches “Vichy France” event to “off” so it can never happen.

    Yes, but is that what’s supposed to happen?

    Hadn’t given it much thought tbh. The strategic benefits of the Vichy French arrangement are pretty much null after the first round (it becomes almost all downside for Euro Axis). So its not a situation that likely to arise often. But, in the interests of clarity, the relevant ‘condition’ in Game Notes should probably read: “Southern France has never been taken by Axis.” I’ll make that change.
