    I doubt it witt - I have yet to beat triple A at 42.2 on hard AI as allies …… and I am sure you are better that hard AI! :cry:

    However, have now won Europe 40 as both allies and axis on hard AI, although I struggle with upgrading factories (never lets me place the upgrade!) and VCs (as the game never ends even when the other side have been wiped out). Might have a go at Pacific 40.

    42.2 hard AI seems much more difficult that Europe 40.  I think it is J driving across Asia regardless that does it.

    Are you trying to upgrade illegally? Uou can only upgrade a Minor you owned at the beginning of the game and that is worth 3 or more IPCs (eg Germqny, Romania).

    Though you would unite the American one with the new English one.

    Second edition changed that (messed up) rule. Otherwise, was too much of an advantage. Korea ( Pacific) or Norway could be csptured by the US, yhen 10 units placed there. 
    Do you like  the scrambling rules? Makes things interesting, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, Air Bases make Bombers too powerful, as they can reach most anywhere.
