      Here you can download TripleA (https://triplea-game.org/) which is a program that allows you to play online, trough pbem or just local (vs AI or friends that come over, without having to actually put up the board, fast and easy gameplay). I dont think you’ll find many players that are willing to play like you suggest, but hopefully for you there are some around. I suggest you try online gaming tough, because there is always someone around that is ready to play at any given time of the day.

      I hope you have fun playing and learn lots of new strategies and such. Btw with that program you can play almost any game there is available on the A&A genre and also other games like NWO, Domination, LOTR and much more. Good luck and have fun!

      I read you only play ftf games? Have you ever heard of Triplea? This is a pc program which offers you a lot of gameplay. Like for instance play by email or trough this forum or even online (which seems like you are playing ftf if your friend and you join the same room (bot). This program also makes life much easier for you. I read you use a Excel sheet, well this program does everything for you. Keeping track of purchase phase, combat movement, combat, non combat movement etc.

      I remember that old computer game, fun to play when there was no one around to play the boardgame with, but like you say it was very easy to beat the AI.

      The AI in this program is better, it also has different settings as you’ve probably seen. But playing vs a human opponent, especially online, will boost your skill level exponentially.

      Personally I think you might like the Global 40 second edition. This game is the next generation of A&A boardgames. It has a lot of new features and even politics.

      Lol, I know. Its not that I am not working on it. I think I am working too much on it. Already had 6 different scenario’s tested. Its still in progress. Sometimes its the purchase that I dont feel happy with, the other time its the movement or placement. So I hope you can be patient with me. Wanted to make a decission this weekend, but feel I need a little bit more time.

      Terrible dice again, only upside it the destruction of the sub in sz56. But most of the other battles are the worst outcome, testplayed it several times and won Stockholm each time and also Paris in one shot, with only 3 losses.

      I test played it, when you submerge I can move in the trn in ncm, so the effect of the sub isnt as bad as I initial thought. So it doesnt really matter if I destroy it right away with Germany, it will only affect the naval bombardement I guess.

      Well let me say that when we started I hadnt played many games of WaW, I am very experienced tough in G40 and NWO and other variants of A&A. But I also played many games of WaW in the meantime since we started and I like playing ahead vs AI to see if I am making any mistakes. Further more looking at the Europe theatre I am pretty satisfied, but the Pacific theatre doesnt look anything like I am playing now a days. Ive learned a lot since we started, looking at the progress of our game, seeing the last turn you did was already 7 days ago, that is like a lifetime in the online world, with the amount of players there are. I remember the good old days before internet, YES I AM THAT OLD ;) and where you were lucky to find someone in your neighborhood to play the game with.

      Anyway its certainly not over, altough it might look like a loss in Cairo, this game can go on for many rounds. I see online games extend in r20 to r30.

      I dont know how many times Ive lost a game vs a good friend of mine, but eventually I learned more from the games I lost then the games I won.
