    My first year of play, I lost my first 7 games, but learned a lot. Still learning something almost every game in my second year.

    I’d be content to win a third of my games if possible… need to get a better (lower) Allies bid or try the Allies with a high bid.

    didn’t see the second Anzac sub…  :-(

    With regular luck and a small number of rolls, almost anything can happen–including the word case scenario (e.g., the unlikely event of a Soviet infantry and artillery wiping out a an Italian tank and bomber–probability of less than 10%).

    With low luck, the Italians (3 for the tank + 4 the bomber = 7) would have had 1 sure hit (6) on the first round and a roll @ 1 for a chance for a second hit. The Soviets would have a single roll @ 4 for the chance of 1 hit. On the next round, the Italians would have had either the same chances (if the Soviets missed @ 4) or, at the very least, a roll @ 4 for the chance of a hit. The Soviets would have had a single roll @ 2 for the chance of 1 hit.
    Worse case scenario for the Italians: Italians lose a tank and bomber but the Soviets lose an infantry.
    More likely outcome: Italians win with bomber surviving or at least a draw.

    With large battles, bad and good rolls of the dice tend (but do not necessarily) even out. Even here, though, low luck can eliminate the worse case scenarios.

    Yup, small battles 2 vs 2 are scary cause there is always a chance it will only last one round  :-(… I was hoping to ding one unit and retreat, to use the bomber later - Since Italy is now confined to a couple of territories, the bomber seemed liked the only free unit left to make a difference…

    I still like the chance aspect of the dice, I’ve always liked dice/random card type games.

    It seems in big battles the dice server strings a lot of big numbers in a row and then a lot of low numbers… scary if you’re the attacker and you get a lot of big numbers to start -
