Say, I would like to do one of those game write-ups on a future game between us, and was wondering if you would be interested?
I’m interested more in the overall philosophy as opposed to 2 tanks here vs. 3 tanks, etc. I imagine I would write up what I’m thinking, thoughts, concerns about your moves, etc. AS THEY HAPPEN. Often times in the longer games it’s hard to remember what I was thinking on Round 3 when it’s Round 18.
What I’m not sure about is how to post such thoughts. I don’t want to hold back on my commentary as I write, but I also wouldn’t want to give tips and advice to my opponent. I’m not sure if there would be some way to post in a seperate thread other than the game, and have some kind of Gentleman’s agreement not to read the other persons thoughts until the end. You seem on the trustworthy end of the spectrum. :mrgreen: (Good thing I don’t know you IRL, right? lol)
Often times in my games I worry about very specific moves on my opponent. “Oh man, if he combines this with that and attacks THERE, I am so screwed!”, and I’d love to document all that. But I don’t want my opponent to read it and say, “Say! I never thought of that. Great idea.” CRUSH
I also forsee self-analysis in later rounds. “Man, I totally thought Karl was going to do THIS, but instead he did THAT. Boy, was I wrong!”
What are your thoughts on doing something like this? Any ideas? Oh…and would you be willing? I’ve done write-ups before just for myself. :lol: Maybe I should start sharing?
