I can only imagine the problems you must have had when you played poker and had a lot of money riding on luck.

Go ahead and smirk all u want. Biggest hand I ever lost I was playing no limit heads up and we got all in preflop with my aces against his kings and he got a king on the river. The real dagger was it was his only out because the king of spades would have made my flush. More money than I care to mention on that one single hand, was the dream hand. I suppose you would say I shouldn’t have gone all in preflop… :lol: go ahead and say it but I would have gone all in preflop, on the flop, and on the turn, so what can ya do… I was 98 percent to win when the last card fell.

Yeah, SouL, I haven’t won a bid with the Allies since I started playing '41 again, and I’ve taken over Egypt G1 with a tank or two and a bomber several times, which is very lucky. On the flip side, in most of my games my 2 fighters against a destroyer and transport on J1 has backfired way more times than it should… I still think they are great attacks, and most likely they’ll start going well for me again… And Egypt will start flopping…

Fwiw, no they don’t. The very best players in the world don’t ever give themselves a chance tip go broke. Most are sponsored and/or staked into every game they play. Also most don’t play beyond their bank rolls. I’ve been a winning player since I started playing in '02 (zero -%roi years. If I can do it, they do too.

fwiw, i have played a lot of high stakes poker with the likes of Chan, Ivey, and Antonius. perhaps there are some stories you are not privy to. i guess zero roi over 9 years should be considered winning poker, as long as you are having fun.
