    honestly I didn’t mind losing in normandy (even the first time that I lost there), I had set that up to pull even more forces away from the Russians, to allow them even greater growth and attacking freedom.


  • The Normandy beachhead was definitely a major distraction from Russia. Even if the second counterattack had succeeded, Russia was already a bear, and a win in Europe was extremely unlikely. But it might have been bearable to continue for another few rounds.
