    Oh, sorry, thanks.  The Rus mobile units and air in central China really gives Rus flexibility, coupled with big move towards Man.  Jap has to rethink.  Wasn’t planning DOW on USA T2 anyway, so may not delay my immediate timetable, but if I have to garrison Man long term it will.


  • That was a killer move for Germany in the Med.  Of course good dice helped tremendously, but still it would have been very effective even with average dice.  This is going to be extremely tough, if not impossible to recover for the Allies.  Well played, Rommel.

    Didn’t think about a Bri dd being able to block Ita move to Egypt.  Well, there’s other places to conquer.  But it gives Bri more time.

    I didn’t position axis to block 3 Rus convoy routes.  Thought the 2 Ger dd were subs and moved them to block Bri convoy and now can’t get them to sz125.  Japan didn’t hold back a warship for sz5, don’t know if subs count to block Rus convoy NOs.  We’ll see.

    Ita didn’t need to sink the Fra dd, but I gambled and lost the bomber.  At least now the Ita fleet can bombard Egypt.  Wow, UK Pac and Ita both jumped in PUs due to NOs.  This Bal Mod game is fun, especially for Ita w/o bid units to Bri.


  • I would have skipped the attack against the destroyer since the bomber was so pivotal.  Instead, you could attack the UK destroyer with a sub + bomber.  After sinking it, move the rest of the Italian navy to SZ98.  France could try a suicide attack against the fleet, but that seems hardly worth it.

    Moving the fleet to SZ98 in non-combat would let you unload troops into Alexandria, making it easy to win the battle of Egpyt next round.  With the delay there is a chance that UK can reinforce Egypt, although having three Italian transports is ridiculously good.

    Good advice Arthur, I think Colt did that to me in a prior Europe 1940 game.  The hour was late and too many ideas were floating in my head.  Ita could have used its 2 figs also to guarantee sinking the dd.
