took out an extra fig from that battle in 54, since the 2nd to last round of combat i should’ve taken the bb instead of a fig, which would then not be susceptible to sub first strike. so i granted it as an extra hit for you.

Do you care to comment on what i did wrong?
My opinion:
1. I am pretty happy with the european side, Italy never really does much, and it is minimum investment by the allies
2. Pacific is awefull, I put a lot of money in and I feel I dont get any in return. You are always one or two rounds ahead. I try to build transports to threaten things, but they can not be protected.
3. Maybe I am too passive with India and Soviet on the pacific side?
Again, maybe I play Soviet wrong but this again shows why I think BM is bad for Soviet. The argument is, they are supposed to fight Germany and not dick around in Africa. Fair enough, they can’t fight Germany
yah i think the biggest difference between an average, weaker play and a really good play is that of taking up as strong a position as possible to set up for next turn. the really good players are always taking whatever space they can get away with, and thereby making it harder for their opponent to do whatever they want. in this game, the first thing i saw wrong is how your anz forces curled up into a ball in nsw round 1, instead of moving up to the more superior positioning in queens. you should not have feared the japanese fleet in 33, they weren’t even a match for your forces if they had grouped up in queens. that’s just one example, but if you take a closer look at all your movements throughout the game you’ll find other such examples. you don’t wanna lose any ground unless you’re forced to.
