    I just noticed that the Japanese fighter and tac apparently did not scramble. I definitely hit the scramble button, but clearly made a mistake. I would not have left the UK transport exposed in SZ 44 or would have built a UK-Pac transport this turn.

    As it was, the Japanese nearly pulled off the miracle with 3 DDs sunk by kamikazes, the US underperforming on the first round, and the Japanese over performing on the first and last rounds.

    I am really sorry about the scramble error. I will do what you think is fair.
    One option would be to re-roll, which probably would not turn out better for the Japanese.
    A second option is a lot 4 more hits to the US (1 for each of the 4 rounds, which is about the toll a fighter and tac would take).
    A third option would be to roll the fighter and tac on the forum for each of the 4 rounds (i.e., roll at 3 four times and roll at 4 four times) and a lot that damage to the US.
    A fourth option would be to leave the board as is.

    Given the disastrous kamikaze strike and first round, I would have taken the first hits on the CV, as all but 2 of my planes could have landed on nearby islands.

    Let me know what you want to do.

    Don’t worry about the mistake -

    I propose:

    a) Roll my two planes for defence in round 2 via forum -
    b) adjust your losses
    c) Start combat round 3 via forum, fresh, with my two planes added in, until conclusion, max defence (Ftrs last) for me since I can land on Phi - This gives you the option to withdraw if some horrible dice happen in round 3 (seen it before)

    Only change all of the turns/battles (UK/China) you have done if you end with a USA victory with less units (or Japan victory, unlikely) if you want.  I’d like to see this battle to its conclusion.  If it turns out better for you then that’s ok too -

    Thanks for giving me the chance to make things right.

    What a turn of events though. On round 2, the Japanese got 1 extra hit (the tac, but not the fighter, hit). In round 3, the US got 3 extra hits, while Japan got the same 8 hits as before–despite the extra fighter and tac. In round 4, the Japanese got only 1 of 4 hits @ 4, whereas they previously got 5 of 5 hits @4.
