Yeah, there was the break. I was of course also a bid greedy to attack Java instead of Borneo or celebs so I took a risk in order to kill Japanese units. Not sure if this was a wise decision but I still think I need some “good moves” instead of standard moves to at least create any serious pressure on Japan. But with this payroll it will now never happen.

I made a little analysis of the dices in our game as I already stated the perception that I ran great in the 2 big battles and worse in average in the smaller battles.
I excluded the G1 sea battles, France, the Taranto and the counter attack in sz97. I cannot guarantee that I accidentally including a battle which in fact was rolled in the forum. But should not be much, hopefully zero.
I looked only in the defense rolls. some numbers:Allies rolled a total of 279 defense shots with a total defense value of 564. They scored 81 hits while 94 were expected
Axis rolled a total of 230 defense shots with a total defense value of 457. They scored 73 hits while 76 were expectedSo on a superficial level my perception was not completely off. However some things to consider

Attack rolls not included. IT12 for example looks normal with 4/13@2 but in fact hat the Greece debacle. SO the overall luck can not be determined by this analysis.

There was an interesting trend. The Axis started very bad and had ~25% @2 in the middle of the game. That enhanced my perception. The bad dice were of course not acknowledge but just recorded as “normal” and then the Axis dice started catching up while Allies dice got worse (were 32%@2 in the middle of the game and then dropped to 29%)
–> One needs to be aware of trends within a game which can be overrated while the overall distribution might still be even -
Such an analysis does not weight the importance of single battles and single dice. Such as “killing air” dice or those who decide to capture a territory or not or to kill a blocker or not.

puh… the Axis really learned to aim better and better during this game.
4/5 hits for ground units again., the only micro break was SZ933 subs do 10 convoy damage to UK. I don’t know why I can’t stop thinking about such things even if it should not matter at all in that position. :-/
But this game had an interesting trend:
Since round 10 the Axis hit 29/69 @2, but e.g. in the first 6 rounds, they hit 16/60And as early hits have a higher interest, there is nothing the Allies should complain about. Early good dice are better than late good dices. But this game takes a while now, so nobody remembers the early trends^^

Still a bit annoying I didn’t really think about the placement of the Russian air during the Russian move. Now I had to abandon Caucasus due do that sloppiness :-/

Well, from my perspective I didn’t get any sub hits, and you were fortunate to get 2 hits in Kiangsi in the first round :-)

3 subs do 10 convoy damage to UK. I don’t know why I can’t stop thinking about such things even if it should not matter at all in that position. :-/
This is offset by the fact that my subs never got any hits
