    I forgot that subs can’t stop transports from loading… mistake… I think that’s the game.  Let me think.

    I’ve looked at the map, and if you had bought dd instead of subs, it would only have delayed the invasion 1 turn.

    In the dd case, I would have purchased 7 tac fighters and loaded all 5 transports during NCM to prevent any blocking.  With a UK purcahse for max defense, 7 inf + 3 tanks, and moving the 4 US candaian dudes over, I’d still win with the 94% chance per the calculator with what I have on the board.  You’d only have 2 DD + 1 sub to attack my navy (no chance of winning), and being either right next to the UK or one space away, you couldn’t block the landing.

    It was a calculated decision to throw everything at London while doing a strategic retreat/delay on the Eastern front.  I knew I’d lose the Middle East for Italy, but taking out the UK negates the factories anyway.

    Yeah, no question I see you could pile on UK the next round.  However, handing you the UK on a plate now is a big error.  If you had to build up to take it, it would be that much less against the USSR. The game is close enough I think that would be an issue.

    But hey, I’m game to go on. But I think taking the UK in this way is a game tipper.
